LIVE LESSONS. Further Info...

The lessons will be from the Growing With Gratitude - 5 Habits of Happiness Curriculum, which focuses on skills of gratitude, kindness, empathy, positive reflection and serving others.

You will be emailed a link and lesson resources before the session. To join, your child will simply click on the link at the lesson time & please be sure you have the resources ready to go.

  • What platform will the lessons be on? Zoom. If you are using a laptop or PC, you will just need to click the link. If you will be using an iPad, you will need to download the Zoom app.
  • Is Zoom easy to use? Yes, very easy. At lesson time simply click on a link provided. You can test Zoom to make sure your video and audio is working - TEST ZOOM HERE
  • How will I receive the link? It will be emailed to you before each lesson.
  • Is an iPad or computer better? Both will work. If you are using an iPad, you will need the Zoom app. CLICK HERE TO TEST ON IPAD. Headphones can be worn.
  • I don’t really want others to see my child? That’s totally okay. You are able to turn off your video and audio. They will still be able to see the teacher and chat, but they won’t be seen.
  • What will my students need? Your students will need a pen or pencil to write with. Also coloured pencils, textas, crayons, etc will be good to have on hand just in case. There maybe be some resources that will need to be printed. These resources will be sent in the email with the link.
  • What if technology isn’t my thing? That’s okay. Zoom is quite a simple tool to use, so we have tried to make it easy as possible. The classroom will open 10-minutes before start time. This will enable you to be ready.
  • The live lessons will be run from Adelaide, Australia. Please be aware of your time zone:

We are loving the Growing With Gratitude program in our Reception class. I am teaching a lesson a week, then we use that topic for sharing time the following week. Children are also taking the lesson home and discussing it with their families. It’s also a lovely way to start our day every morning. Thank you so much for a wonderful program.”

With our Growing With Gratitude practice I have learnt before you judge someone put yourself in the other persons shoes.

We love GWG. The opportunity to talk about tools on a regular basis is making a difference to the children in our community. It’s strange how we think that doing something like this once would work, when nothing else in education is taught once and assumed to be mastered. The more we read and understand people and children, the more we see the need to practice, repeat and have another go–especially in the good times.

I learnt that it’s important to look at things from other peoples perspectives and I also learnt that it’s important to be grateful for little things that not everyone might have.
